US Navy Cutlery Set - Carving Fork, Knife and Sharpener

US Navy Cutlery Set - Carving Fork, Knife and Sharpener
In museum quality condition - no black pits or pitting, no corrosion, or loss of silverplate on either piece. Some barely noticeable use marks on the handles. All handles are tight and firm. The meat stopper or stay on the carving fork is firm with plenty of spring and tension. The blades, tines, and sharpener and skewer are made of the same nickel steel alloy used to make stainless steel to prevent and corrosion with that sought after gun metal gray patina!

Both the Carving Fork and Knife have the Eagle Clutching Arrows on the top front handle which indicates that these were used in the Captains Mess; the monogram USN is also found on the rear of the handles.
