What is presented here is a VERY rare May, 1969 enamel over metal (enamelware) drinking cup illustrating a fouled anchor under the Red Star with Chinese characters translated as People's Liberation Army.
The Chinese Characters in the middle of the Red Star are translated to the date August 1st which is the anniversary of the Chinese Revolution, the equivalent of America's July 4th.
Additionally, this cup belonged to a Navigation Ship in the PLA Navy with naval craft hull number 131.
