Beautiful, Authentic Argentinian Navy (Republica Argentina Armada) Dinnerware and Tableware with the Official Insignia of Fouled Anchor, Liberty Hat, and the Sun as used in the Officer's Mess and Wardroom
Call The Pirate's Lair @ 540-659-6209

Note: The Argentinian Naval Insignia consisting of a stick with a hat on the end placed horizontally across the anchor is called the "Liberty Hat" or Phrygian cap ("Gorro frigio" in Spanish), represents freedom over tyranny. The Liberty Hat was originally a peasant cap or hood made of soft red cloth, and made famous during the French Revolution when it was worn by the revolting peasants. The revolting peasants put their red hats onto raised sticks and demonstrated through the streets of Paris during the insurrection. "Let Them Eat Cake" said Marie, but they certainly must take off their hats while sitting down for dinner. The insignia also consists of the sun which represents Argentina in the southern hemisphere as a sun drenched nation. Both the Liberty Hat and Sun are part of Argentina's national flag.

Photo's Above Illustrate a Coffee Cup, Saucer and Small Dessert Plate from the Argentinian Navy in traditional White with Blue and Gold Stripes and Beautiful Topmark Consisting of an Anchor, the Sun and a Liberty Hat on a stick, with a Banner on Top Reading "Republica Argentina" and a Banner Below Reading "Armada". We believe that this pattern was reserved for senior naval officers in the Argentinian Navy due to the attention of detail in the topmark and the gold striping.

Photo illustrates a 9.5" dinner plate with a blue topmark and striping. The topmark is the same as described above for the Cup and Saucer except all in blue. The Cup, Saucer and Dessert Plate are from a Better Quality China than the Dinner Plate.

Quite possibly the blue topmarked china plate was used for general wardroom officer's Mess since it has the same pattern of stripes and topmark but all in blue, while the Gold Topmarked China as illustrated above was reserved for Senior Officer's. Also the quality of the china is substantially different between the two patterns.

The photo's above are of a small pin dish or calling card plate placed at the entrance of a naval officer's home or during a party/ceremony. It was customary for an Officer formally calling upon another Officer to leave his calling card.

ANY TEXT BELOW THIS LINE IS SOLEY FOR THE BENEFIT OF SEARCH BOTS, SPYDERS AND OTHER DENIZENS OF THE DEEP DARK SEA INTERNET The Republica Argentina Armada or Argentinian Navy is lamely called the Argentinian Navy. The Republica Argentina Armada apparently had fine china tableware made for it.
Which included a serving bowl or tureen. This would be a perfect gift for Argentinian Navy Naval attache, a Argentinian diplomat or even as a formal presentation gift for a Republica Argentina Armada Ambassador

A Argentinian Navy military attache would also love to have this official Argentinian Navy tableware and perhaps even Argentinian Navy dinnerware as it includes the soup bowls, fish servers, various sugar bowls and dinner plates and cups.
