Notes: Here is a 1958 copy of the cookbook put out by the Marine officer's wives, entitled Camp Lejeune Platter Parade. A wonderful spiral bound, 279 page with dividers cookbook, that is jam-packed with wonderful recipes for entertaining (as officer's wives so often do), family meals and just plain culinary delights. Military wives have often traveled the globe with their husbands, so there is a great diversity of ethnic and cultural rcipes, as well as class American cuisine.

Recipes are from all over the world, many from WWII that the Marine Officer's wives brought with them from being stationed overseas. Lots of pictures, military/marine humor of the period, and detailed instructions!

Item is in very good condition, with some minor wear to cover - yet overall a great piece of military as well as culinary history. You may even know some of the names of the contributors - especially if you or your spouse was stationed at Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC in the 1950-1960's. It even has the original price tag from the M.C. Exchange of $1.75 on inside of front cover.
