1907 to 1920's - RARE! One of a Kind Piece. US Department of Navy China Milk or Cream Pitcher used in the Personal Mess in the Captain's Cabin or other Senior Admiral. The older Dept of Navy Seal is Clearly Displayed

This particular piece was produced by Lamberton China of Trenton, NJ. Lamberton did not utilize date codes in the production of their china pieces. However, a Lamberton china piece with an M in the crest, not an S, was made between 1892 and 1922 by Thom. Maddock's Sons, also of Trenton, the precursor business to Scammell which operated from 1923-1953.

This pitcher has an M above the text china and an L below, as well as an M shown in the Lamberton Crest. So this certainly was made by Maddock after it purchased Lamberton. The older Dept of Navy Seal was established ca 1905-1907 and used until the 1930's. So this piece can easily be dated between 1905-07 and 1922!
