RARE! Late 1880s, 1890s, to Early 1900's US Navy Antique Glass Water or Wine Carafe (Early American Pattern Glass) with Etched Monogram "USN". Used in Officers Mess or Stateroom. Heavy so as to Prevent Sliding and Could Also be Placed Into a Wall Bracket as Seen Below in a Period 1890s Photograph of an Officers Stateroom Aboard the USS Kentucky.

EAPG - Early American Pattern Glass. Very Collectible in its own right! Large AND heavy to prevent sliding or tipping during rough seas. Part of the shipboard "sanitaryware or hygieneware", simple in design and used in the Senior Officers Cabin or stateroom.
