The above Civil War US Navy Leather Fuse Pouch or Leather Primer Pouch is clearly arsenal stamped Navy Yard NY (for New York) and dated 1863. There are also 2 anchors stamped on either side of the date.

Note the intact leather belt loop and leather securing tab which gets put over the brass button.

Civil War US Navy Leather Artillery Fuse or Primer Pouch Very Good to Excellent Condition. Nothing missing or torn - intact belt loop and fastening tab ! Stamped on the front: "Navy Yard NY, 1863, with 2 Anchors". Carried by Naval Gunners whose job it was to insert the primer or fuse into the artillery shell just prior to firing.
