RARE! Authentic VERY Early 1920s post-Revolution and pre-WWII Gravy Boat From the Officers Mess of the "Maritime Units of the Soviet KGB's Border Troops" (Russian: Морские части Пограничных Войск КГБ СССР). This Maritime Border Guard Service was the equivalent to a Coast Guard and its official colors were Green and White, hence the decorative color of its porcelain dinnerware: Green and White Body with the Topmark in Cyrillic Initials RKKF (or Raboche-Krest'yanskaya Krasniy Flot) translating to "Workers-Peasants Red Fleet" within a Lifering and an Anchor Designating this Pattern Used by the Martime Border Guards, the Equivalent of a Coast Guard. Initially this Coast Guard or Border Guard Service was under the Russian Navy until it was transferred to the control of the KGB.

The Topmark in Blue Glaze on this Gravy Boat Represents the Earliest of Red Fleet's Border Guard Insignia and Pattern, the equivalent of a Coast Guard.

Note the RKKF topmark consisting of the lifering and anchor signifying that this gravy boat was made for the Red Navy's Border Guard which was the equivalent of the US Navy's Coast Guard. The name of the Red Fleet was changed in the mid-1930's to RKVMF to represeent a more global reach and presence, and then again post-WWII to VMF at the formation of the Soviet Union.
