RARE! Authentic VERY Early 1920s post-Revolution and pre-WWII Russian Red Fleet or Russian Red Navy Dinner Plate From The Russian Navy Officer's Mess. This Russian Red Fleet Dinner Plate Has a Topmark in Cyrillic Initials RKKF (or Raboche-Krest'yanskaya Krasniy Flot) translating to "Workers-Peasants Red Fleet".

The Topmark in Blue Glaze on this Dinner Plate Represents the Earliest of Red Fleet Insignia and Uses the EXACT Same Star, Sickle, and Hammer as it's Red Army Dinnerware Counterpart. The Red Naval "Cyrillic Monogram was "RKKF" while the Red Army was "RKKA". These earliest of topmark insignias were also different in that the Red Navy was in a blue glaze while the Red Army was in a red glaze.

Note the blue topmark consisting of the stylized Star, Hammer and Sickle as also found on the Russian Communist Red Flag. The name of the Red Fleet was changed in the mid-1930's to "RKVMF" to represent a more global reach and presence, and then again post-WWII it was changed to "VMF" at the formation of the Soviet Union.

1920's Russian Red Fleet RKKF Dinner Plate
This very early (possibly even the very first use of the Russian Red Navy's post-revolution insignia) was most likely produced in 1919 to the early to mid 1920's. The topmark and striping is in a blue glaze consisting of a hammer and sickle within a star, the initials RKKF surrounded by a peasants hammer and sickle which represent the symbol found on the Russian Communist Flag or National Ensign. The initials RKKF represent Raboche-Krest'yanskaya Krasniy Flot translating to "Workers-Peasants Red Fleet".
