RARE!!!! Authentic 1930s - 1946 WWII Cold War Russian Navy or Red Fleet Serving Bowl From The Russian Naval Officer's Wardroom. This Russian Navy Serving Bowl has the Topmark Cyrillic Initials RKVMF with the Russian Anchor in Blue which stands for Raboche-Krest'yanskaya Voyenno-Morskoy Flot translating to "Workers-Peasants Military Maritime Fleet" of Russia

The Russian Navy's name and initials changed from RKKF from the earliest days right after the revolution to RKVMF in the early 1930s-1946, and then finally post-WWII to VMF when Russian and the Russian Navy was incorporated into the newly formed Soviet Union after its dominion over Eastern Europe and the Baltic States which then became known as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR/CCCP).

One of the reasons why Russian Navy and Soviet Navy Dinnerware and Tableware is so rare (and expensive) is that it was only made for senior officer's and staff in the first place. And secondly if any sailor (officer or enlisted) ever got caught "stealing from the state" by taking any dinnerware off of a ship they would have been immediately court-marshalled and then would have begged to be sent to a gulag! Can you imagine the fear and risk some sailor took under the communist regime in taking anyone of these pieces of china?!

Folks, it doesn't get any more rarer and valuable than this! An absolute must collection item for the Cold War Historian or Naval Cold War Warrior. Now a US Navy Cold War Veteran can have a Russian Navy Plate from the Soviet Navy which he helped to defeat!

The very nature of the ex-Soviet Union's politcal and social structure was that everyone was considered to be of equal stature, including officer's and enlisted.

However, reality has shown that even in the Soviet Union Peoples and Peasants Republic the Senior Officer's received special treatment, such as fine porcelain dinnerware!

Furthermore, from items that were very rare to begin with have now become even more difficult to locate and are now possibly only able to be found as personal possessions of sailor's who snagged them upon their discharge as memorabilia from their time in the Soviet or Russian Navy. Can you imagine how risky this was for an ordinary seaman or junior officer to steal something that was "owned by the state" from aboard a Soviet Navy ship?! This person must have known that if they were caught it was certainly punishable by death as an example to others, or sent to one of the Gulags.
