Authentic ca 1986 Soviet Navy or Russian Red Navy Butter Pat or Small Side Dish From The Russian Naval Officer's Wardroom and Mess. This Russian Navy Small Dish Has Topmark Cyrillic Initials VMF in Gold Translating to "Soviet Navy Fleet".

The Russian Red Navy's initials changed from PKVMF to VMF right after WWII corresponding inclusion of the Russian Navy into the newly created Soviet Union's Navy. This was a reflection of Russia's expanded peasant's and worker's revolution and it's dominion over Eastern Europe which then became known as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

This small dish was part of a non-matching set with the below small pitcher as found in Odessa, and was apparently part of a personal collection of Soviet Navy militaria. A 10% discount will apply on both the small pitcher and this small dish if purchased together keeping them as a set.

Has the traditional Russian fouled anchor in gold with blue and gold striping. Cyrillic initials VMF (Sovyetsky Voyenno-Morskoy Flot USSR) in gold translating to Soviet Maritime Navy Fleet, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. 1986 production.
