| Dimensions: 9" high x 3.5" wide . Weight: 2 lbs. Unlabled and Unknown, standardized oil burning, 1900-1950, flat black, hand held boat signal light. Has a manually operating open/close shutter allowing or preventing light thru the magnifying fresnel lens. The shutter on this signal light works great opening and closing the shutter with ease but does not have a spring on it that some of the others do. This special magnifying lens amplifies the light from the single wick burner which would typically be used at night to send/receive messages in morse code. This was also a staple piece of equipment found in life boats. This lights up a 15'x15' room much better than a flashlight and would certainly last longer! Fully Tested and Functional. Odorless testing oil has been drained after testing. Existing wick or replacement will be shipped with light. |
