Dimensions: 13" high x 8" wide Weight: 10 lb. Dual Wick Burner. Constructed of Copper and Brass, large ocean going, double wick oil burning, mashead light in perfect condition Manufactured by Birmingham Engineering Company of Birmingham, UK and dated 1945 on handle and 1943 rear of oil burner. Most likely this masthead navigation light saw service on a British Cargo or Merchant ship during WWII. Dual wick burner produced completely of copper and brass (except for the oil burner) cleaned thoroughly, tested for leaks, dual wick screws operate properly. Has maker mark badges and navigation light function tags. Clear fresnel lens gives complete illumination port, starboard and forward areas. Would have been mounted up high on a masthead as the light indicates. Dual wick oil burners puts out a substantial amount of illumination making this an excellent blue-water ocean-going navigation light. Fully Tested and Functional. Odorless testing oil has been drained after testing to ensure no leaks. Existing wick or replacement will be shipped with light. |
