A Nicely Restored and Tight All Wood Mid Size Dome Top. Originally covered in canvas which when removed revealed a fantastic patina that only 100+ year old wood can achieve! Two unique items to this antique trunk is on the inside dome top lid one can see how the original craftsman put etches into the wood to bend it, and on the inside body one can see large circular impressions made from rough-cutting the wood at the saw mill.
Beautifully restored in a rich golden brown along with multiple coats of spar varnish bringing out all the character of this century old pine and oak slat chest. New leather handles, hand crafted lift-out tray, and original lithograph inside lid saved during restoration. #161
