Pirate Treasure Chest #7 is a beautiful, very large wooden flat top sea chest made of a pine body with oak slats and thick sturdy leather handles. Perfect to hold files, china, silverware, office accessories or even Treasure! It comes with a handcrafted wooden tray insert. PERFECT as a unque one-of-a-kind nautical coffee table.

These pirate chests/treasure chests are the exact type used by Privateers and Pirates to store their treasure and booty! Typically when a Privateer or Pirate attacked and took over a galleon or merchantman transporting gold, silver, other treasures as well as passengers they threw out all of the garments/clothes and filled them with the items they wished to steal and then hauled the filled chests over to the pirate ship. Unfortunately afterwards the pirates normally sunk the merchant ship if it was unfit for sailing, and killed both crew and passengers! Pirates never bought anything, they stole everything - including their Pirate Treasure Chests!
