This is a RARE 8.25" stainless steel Serving Spoon with the gun metal gray patina found at the enlisted mess table and was probably used in the Chief's or the Petty Officer's Mess only.

(Note: This is not the usual 15" aluminum serving found in the galley and serving line with a hole in the handle for hanging. This is a stainless steel nickel-based serving spoon specifically made to match the other stainless flatware and was to be used at the dining table.
