U.S. Navy Large Graniteware 2 Handle Navy Coffee Pot is a standard coffee pot used aboard both ship and shore Medical Facilities and Units. The white graniteware navy pitchers were used exclusively by the Navy Medical Department so as to ensure these items were washed clean and free of food, blood or other biological stuff which could cause infection.

The bottom of these navy pitchers were marked USN for United States Navy.
