RARE! US Navy's Model M1917 Naval Cutlass with RARE Leather Scabbard - #13
Last officially authorized American US Navy Cutlass. Excellent Condition. Excellent Museum Quality Condition! Almost 100% Blueing on the blade. Hilt, Closed Cup and Cross Hatched Grip has almost 100% of the black Japanning (See Photographs). No damage whatsoever, no blade nicks! Deeply etched initials USN on the blade. With RARE Original Leather Scabbard AND Frog! Definitely does not hide its Dutch Klewang heritage!

100% Blueing left on the blade, no pitting or blemish. The wood handle is nicely cross-hatched and the entire closed cup half basket hilt and grip is black japanned as it should be. The initials USN are clear and visible on the obverse side of the blade's ricasso. Rare Original Leather Scabbard! Note the similarity between this naval cutlass and the Dutch Netherlands Klewang M1911 cutlass.
