Classic Antique Napoleonic War French Inantry Briquet, Short Sword or Sabre, All Brass Hilt, Upturned Falchion Blade, Proper Inspection, Arsenal and Manufacturer Marks - #14

This Classic French Briquet infantry short sword was also copied by many other militaries at the time, and specifically used as the pattern used for the Dutch Naval Cutlass Scheepssabel M1818 No2. There is also a name stamped onto the ricasso of the blade this briquet and it appears to be "uENREAUX Jne".

French Infantry Briquet or Short Sword - #14
Excellent Condition with Proper Marks. The French Infantry Briquet ca 1800-1812 was widely used by the French Infantry throughout the Napoleonic Wars. This is a very handsome and sturdy weapon with all brass hilt, upturned flat falchion blade, with proper arsenal, inspection and manufacturer marks on hilt and blade.
