HUGE 17.5" x 12" Aluminum Field Mess Serving Platter or Serving Tray, stamped USMC on bottom of tray along with manufacturers mark, "Lalanch & Grosjean - Crusaderware - Woodhaven, NY" with a detailed depiction of a knight in armor with shield! The backstamp on this item easily puts this piece into the very early 1900's up until WWII. During WWII Lalanche & Grosjean produced aluminum galleyware for the armed services under the name L&G, Co.
