Exterior originally covered in canvas with interior covered in a thin paper the original trunk maker used all heavy duty hardware clamps, hinges, front latches, lid guides, single sheet pine wood, and iron banding to construct this trunk! Replacement leather handles with the original end caps. All of the hardware clamps, guides and latches were lightly sanded and then blackened.
